Jim was Seraj's first Board President, and both Jim and Mary Eleanor have helped guide and support Seraj since its inception. (For more information about Seraj, go to www.serajlibrary.org)
Now, ten years and seven children’s libraries later, Jim and Mary Eleanor have decided it is time to pass the responsibilities of leadership to others. At the recent annual Benefit Dinner, the Seraj Board conferred on Jim “President, Emeritus” and on Mary Eleanor “Board Member, Emerita.” To further honor their faithful commitment and lifetime of work, the Board has initiated a campaign to fund a children’s library in Palestine in their names. We can think of no better way to express our love and gratitude to Jim and Mary Eleanor than by supporting their effort to build an inclusive democracy and civil society in Palestine through children’s libraries.
To you who are already generous supporters of Seraj, we ask you to consider re-doubling your commitment to the Library Project as an expression of your gratitude to Jim and Mary Eleanor. Your participation in this campaign--now and in the months to come--no matter how large or small your gift, will let Jim and Mary Eleanor know of our gratitude for all they have done to make this a better world.
You may make a donation to the James and Mary Eleanor Wall Library Fund in two ways: Go through PayPal or use a credit card at the link below and HERE. Or, you may send a personal check to the Seraj Library Project, 636 North Harvey, Oak Park, IL 60302. In either case, please designate that your tax-deductible contribution is for the James and Mary Eleanor Wall Library Fund.
Thank you for all you do to inspire Palestinian children and strengthen a grassroots movement for a democratic and inclusive society.

The Wall Library Campaign is committed to gathering sufficient funds by the end of 2016 to establish another children's library in Palestine. Supporters have already pledged or given over $22,000--and with your participation, the campaign will achieve its goal. Please consider an additional gift to the Wall Library Fund before the end of 2016.
Dear Friends of Seraj,
In 2005, Jim and Mary Eleanor Wall were among a small group of visionaries, led by a Palestinian Jerusalemite and his wife, Estephan and Laurie Salameh, to establish the Seraj Library Project through which they hoped to strengthen Palestinian democracy and civil society.
